RECEPTION OF SOVIET DISSENT

The section outlines an image of the reception of Soviet dissent in the Italian cultural world and is organized in four thematic pillars: Translations and publications, Personalities, Case study and Chronology of the Reception. Through these different perspectives, we mean to offer materials and tools to explore the critical reflection developed in Italy between 1956 and 1991 on Soviet dissent through the main publications distributed by the media and major publishing houses and by some Italian periodicals, together with the testimonies and contributions of the intellectuals who were protagonists of the rich, complex and jagged intercultural debate between Italy and the Soviet Union in the second half of the twentieth century [Tr. by C.
